ABSTRACT

Prison data Management in Nigeria has been a dismissed region with the manual system still set up. Inmates' records are physically made and refreshed utilizing documents and registers. This strategy for information management for the most part prompts human blunder, postpone in recovering data, and so on. Customary technique (paper and pen) has prompted the deficiency of data of certain cases (crimes records), instability and information overt repetitiveness. Moreover, many cases have been accounted for where some prison officials plot with clients (casualties) to control and conceal some data or records, consequently bringing about compromising the proof of the case. Likewise when reports are required particularly about inmates, it requires a long investment to process and in this way makes it hard for Prison Management to take dire choices.
